Things can change quickly

For BMW WilliamsF1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya is faced with a number of scenarios for this weekends United States Grand Prix. With Juan Pablo just three points behind Michael Schumacher, and McLaren's Raikkonen four points further adrift this weekends race could decide the 2003 championship.

MontoyaBut in order for Juan Pablo to keep his championship hopes alive he must finish ahead of his rival Michael Schumacher. If Michael wins and Juan Pablo finishes sixth or lower the championship will be Michael's. But Juan Pablo also admits that Kimi could play a role this weekend.

Juan Pablo said: "If Kimi wins on Sunday then everything will be changed around again. We are all fighting for the championship and nobody wants to give anything away at the moment."

"I am not feeling any extra pressure. I am not going to say I am going into Sunday's race aiming to kill Michael. I will just be pushing as hard as I can. If I push and win that's great, but if I finish second then so be it."

The race this Sunday will be one of tactics, who is leading the race and the position of the three championship rivals will have a bearing on Juan Pablo's strategy during the race. The

Juan Pablo added: "If Rubens Barrichello is leading a race, I am second and Michael third, then I won't be going for it. But if Michael is first and I am second and I can go for it, then I will. It all depends on whom I am up against."

As for his performance this weekend  Juan Pablo has the support of his team boss Sir Frank Williams.

Williams said: "He's much more mature than he was a year ago, much more mature now and knowledgeable about his car. He will conduct himself as good as Michael or anyone else on the track. He's as quick as anybody and as sensible as anybody on the track."
