Season disappointing for Montoya

The opening races of the 2003 season have seen the BMW WilliamsF1 team struggle to find that first race victory of the season. This fact is not lost on the WilliamsF1 team and its drivers. The only moment of success that stands out was Juan Pablo's second place in Australia.

Apart from this podium finish the team has found the going difficult as they try to work through the problems with the FW25. This has been disappointing for everyone not the least BMW WilliamsF1 driver Juan Pablo Montoya.

In last weekends Spanish Grand Prix the team could only manage fourth and fifth and for Juan Pablo such poor performances must motivate the team to do much better.

Montoya said: "I think everybody is surprised at themselves over the lack of performance during the weekend and we need to step up our game.

"It is good that we got points out of it for the team but it will be a big wake-up call for everybody in the team including the drivers.

"Everybody wants to win again and we have to work to make it better."

Juan Pablo added: "I know the team is trying really hard to win. We have got to work together to get the best with what we have got.

"If you have got a car that could finish third then you should want to try and make it finish second."
