Paul Richard Test 08:05:2003 Day Three of Four

Testing at the Paul Ricard circuit would continue for the third day for the BMW WilliasmF1 team, with the only difference been Ralf Schumacher taking over from test driver Marc Gene.

Test driver Marc Gene had set the fastest time both on Tuesday and Wednesday, by the end of testing on Thursday Ralf would also finished on top of the times. Ralf would set a time of 1m:11.221, while he carried out set-up and tyre development testing.

Ralf would complete ninety eight laps of the French circuit, with tyre testing the major focus. In preparation for the Grand Prix of Austria and Monaco, Ralf had hard and soft tyre compounds to work his way through.

WilliamF1's Test Team Manager Tim Newton said: "Ralf assumed testing duties today and continued with the intensive tyre testing programme we are concentrating on in time for Austria. Tomorrow will be the last day of the test during which we will recommence tyre evaluation."

Testing for the BMW WilliamsF1 team at Paul Ricard concludes tomorrow.
