Paul Richard Test 10:04:2003 Day Three of Four

Again the Paul Ricard track would see a wet track greet the BMW WilliamsF1 team as they started day three of their four day test but the rain would ease off and in the afternoon the drivers were able to set faster times.

Present were Ralf Schumacher and Marc Gené, with both drivers working on further development of the FW25 and setups for the up coming San Marino Grand Prix.

Even with the bad conditions early on in the day Ralf would complete eighty six laps while carrying out set-up work of his FW25. He would also use the opportunity to conduct further tyre testing. His best lap time was a 1m:08.403, which would see him fifth fastest.

For Marc he would also complete an extensive number of laps, ninety three, with his time focusing on a race simulation. His fastest lap time was a 1m:08.717.

Williams F1 Test Team Manager explained: "We had another wet start at Paul Ricard this morning, but the weather improved during the course of the day as the track dried out. With the moderate improvement in the weather, we managed a somewhat more productive day than yesterday."

Fastest driver on the day was McLaren's David Coulthard, with a time of 1m:08.019.
