| Paul Richard Test 09:04:2003 Day Two of Four | |
| Day two of
the BMW WilliamsF1 test would see the team having to cope with a day which
saw light rain in the morning which worsened as the day progressed. With the
weather being bad in the afternoon, the teams would end their testing at
4:00 pm. Once again Ralf Schumacher and Marc Gene weer present.
WilliamsF1 Test Team Manager Tim Newton commented on the days testing by saying: “Today was the second day for the test team at Ricard which is not such a familiar venue for us, and getting acquainted was hampered by wet weather conditions. We were seriously affected by the heavy rain. The drivers worked hard in the difficult conditions to get through the programme, but we did spend more time in the garage than we would have liked. We are expecting a clearer forecast tomorrow.“ |

With
the conditions as they were both WilliamsF1 drivers took the opportunity to
test wet weather tyres. Marc would test three different tyre types. At days
end he would complete thirty eight laps and finish second behind McLaren's
Alex Wurz, not that the times were over any great meaning. Marc would set a
best lap time of 1m:27.653s.
