| Brazilian GP Saturday 2nd Practice | |
| The
final practice prior to this afternoons final qualifying would see the BMW
WilliamsF1 drivers Juan Pablo and Ralf Schumacher finish in fifth and
ninth positions respectively.
In somewhat of a surprise it would be Toyota's Olivier Panis who would finish the session with the fastest time. Panis would set a best lap time of 1m:13.457. The conditions appeared to be favouring the Michelin runners as the temperatures climbed, with eight of the top ten supplied by the French company. Ferrari's Michael Schumacher was second quickest, almost nine-hundredths behind Panis, while Renault's Jarno Trulli claimed the third fastest time. McLaren's David Coulthard moved up to fourth, with WilliamF1's Montoya fifth and Kimi Raikkonen sixth. For Rubens Barrichello he
would drop down the times after only been able to slightly increase his
earlier lap time. He would finish seventh fastest with Jaguar's Mark
Webber continuing to perform well finishing eighth. Ralf and Renault's
Fernando Alonso completed the top ten. With both Juan Pablo and Ralf having to run early in the second qualifying session their task of putting their cars at the front of the grid is going to be difficult. But there is always the weather to consider if it rains again during the session. |

For
Juan Pablo his practice was uneventful but for Ralf he would have a spin
at turn 7 but was able to continue and return to the pits. Ralf was to
lose the back end of his FW25.
