Friday qualifying in doubt

Several drivers were to have accidents while running in the rain affected Friday practice for the 2003 Brazilian Grand Prix. Now it has been reported that with the rain likely to stay that several drivers would rather see Friday qualifying cancelled rather than run in such difficult conditions.

With the new regulations seeing both Bridgestone and Michelin bringing intermediate tyres rather than full wet weather tyres there is a concern that there is even likelihood that drivers will lose control of their cars in the single lap qualifying format.

It has been proposed that if the qualifying is cancelled then Saturday qualifying, will be run in reverse Championship order with those with no points running based on number of laps completed.
