When you look at the Ted Bull leadership team dispersing to other teams you see tough direct men who have lived life. Men who know what they want, direct, very much winners.
Rob Marshall, Horner, Lamiasse, Wheatley. They look seasoned pros…who would challenge one another in a very firm manner if they disagreed with direction and things.
Do you get that feeling about Williams? I don’t…I personally think we’ve a lot of gentle people who may not have the confidence to challenge one another.
Who is banging the table and saying no we need to do it this way a la Patrick Head or the Red Bull lot. Suspect banging the table would be a disciplinary offence in the nice soft world at Williams.
We need strong people, seasoned, who know what they are doing.

Hi Stuart.
Maybe JV has seen / learnt that you cannot just encourage people to do the job , you have to push hard aswell.
I think this time ,this years team effort has taught JV a valuable lesson on what it is really going to take to join the top tier.
I did say earlier in a thread Mclaren did not hang about 1 second longer than needed in hiring and firing till they got the right people, onboard.JV will need to do the very same.
No more MR nice guy, time to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, else all the good work you have done so far will be all for nothing.
it will be an interesting ride this year.
