Team Summary:
The final practice session would see heavy rain falling which would delay
the start of the session. Everyone was coming out on full wet tyres and most
would pit after an exploratory lap. Sainz would set the first time with a
1m:42.973. There was a lot of spray and standing water in places making the
conditions difficult. Sainz would improve with a 1m:41.515, twenty seconds
slower than that in the dry. Only three cars had yet to come out and this
including both Williams. Ericsson was now second ahead of Kvyat. Drivers
were been told to not take risks. Hulkenberg would go quickest with a
1m:41.491.
After their first runs the Williams drivers were first and second with
drivers limiting themselves to runs of only a few laps. Both Williams
drivers would pit and after only fifteen minutes the practice session would
come to an end with only seven drivers setting a time.
Felipe Massa:
Felipe would be the first Williams to come out also on the full wet tyre.
Felipe would complete his timed lap setting a 1m:42.196 to be third. Felipe
would continue his run and would set a 1m:40.660 to be quickest. He would
pit after a four lap run.
Lance Stroll:
Lance would follow his team-mate out also on the full wet tyre. Lance would
also set a time with a 1m:42.569 to be fourth behind his team-mate and he
would also improve on his next lap with a 1m:40.888 to be just 0.228 behind
Felipe. Lance would follow Felipe into the pits. |
