Chinese GP: Williams Martini 2nd & 3rd in shortened FP1
By Andrew Hooper
April 7 2017
In what was a frustrating session the Williams Martini team would see their drivers finish in 2nd and 3rd in the opening Friday practice for the 2017 Chinese GP. It was a session that saw both Williams drivers completing a handful of laps with Felipe Massa finishing ahead of team-mate Lance Stroll. It would be 45 minutes into the session before the cars were able to run. It was a session where not a lot was learnt by the Williams team.

Team Summary:
The Williams Martini team would see Felipe Massa and rookie Lance Stroll finish
in second and third in an opening Friday session that was hampered by poor
weather. The session would be cut short as a result of the circuit
helicopter not been able to fly to the local helicopter.
The Williams
drivers would both run a combination of full wet and intermediates during
the shortened session. The session would take forty five minutes before it
got underway with both Williams drivers setting their quickest time on the
intermediate tyres. |
