The second Friday practice session for the 2013 Hungarian GP would see Williams F1 drivers Pastor Maldonado and Valtteri Bottas finish in 13th and 18th. It was an uneventful session that would see both drivers work through longer runs on both the soft and medium tyre.

After the opening Friday practice for the 2013 Hungarian Grand Prix the Williams F1 team would see their drivers Pastor Maldonado and Valtteri Bottas finish in tenth and twelfth. The teams had access to the revised construction medium and soft tyres from Pirelli with the soft tyres expected to be used in the second session. The weather was fine and dry as the session commenced. Valtteri would take to the track early joining Chilton. Followed by further cars Pastor would also come out as Chilton set a 1m:29.373 to be fastest but Valtteri would set a 1m:25.622 to go quickest running on the medium tyre. Ricciardo would go second with a 1m:25.734 but Pastor would push everyone down one place by going fastest with a 1m:24.979. Ricciardo would move into second with a 1m:25.166 seeing Valtteri third. We only has Raikkonen and the two Ferrari's still in their pits as Button went fastest with a 1m:24.883.

But Hamilton would go fastest by a considerable margin with a 1m:24.137 while Di Resta was fourth followed by Ricciardo and Valtteri. Rosberg would be fastest with a 1m:23.752 but quickly Grosjean would move ahead with a 1m:23.645. But Vettel and Sutil would both go faster with a 1m:22.484 and 1m:23.607. Sutil would get pushed down from second to third by Webber with a 1m:22.970. Rosberg would improve to be third with a 1m:23.446. For Williams Pastor had dropped to tenth and Valtteri fifteenth. Valtteri had pitted after his first six lap run. Pastor would also pit along with the majority of the field after their first runs. Grosjean was now fourth followed by Sutil, Hamilton, Button, Perez, Hulkenberg and Ricciardo.

We now had both Ferrari's on the track as Raikkonen now went third with a 1m:23.387. Hamilton would improve to be third and Alonso now fourth. Alonso and Massa would move into third and fourth and Raikkonen was now fifth. Both Pastor and Valtteri would return to the track with the pair currently fifteenth and eighteenth. Pic would be the first to try the soft tyres while Vettel was back out also on soft's and would go fastest in sector one. Vergne would improve to be seventh while Vettel would complete his lap with a 1m:21.264. This was 1.2 seconds faster than his lap on mediums. The majority of the field gad returned to the track as Webber went fastest in sector one and set personal bests in the final two. He would set a 1m:21.308. Vettel would pit after his run as Rosberg went third with a 1m:21.991 also on the soft tyre.

Pastor and Valtteri would both pit with just under an hour remaining. Hulkenberg would also improve to be fourth, 1m:22.841. Hamilton would jump up to third with a 1m:21.802 while Gutierrez went fifth fastest while team-mate Hulkenberg was sixth. Pastor and Valtteri were now seventeenth and twenty first. Alonso and Massa were both still on the track with Massa moving up to third, 1m:21.701. Alonso would go quickest in sector two and would finish with a 1m:21.426 to move ahead of Massa. Button was now seventh, 1m:22.180, with just over forty five minutes remaining. Valtteri would return to the track followed by Pastor. More drivers would also come back out with eleventh placed Grosjean on a quick lap setting a 1m:21.870 to be sixth. Pastor would also find time on the soft tyres to move up to tenth with a 1m:22.781. He would drop down one place as Perez went tenth. Di Resta was now tenth as Vettel went out for a longer run running on the medium tyre.

Grosjean would find more time with a 1m:21.417 to be third. Hamilton and Rosberg were out on different tyres as they worked through their longer runs. Pastor and Valtteri would both pit while for Ferrari Alonso and Massa were fourth and fifth. Valtteri would head out on soft tyres for his high fuel run, while team-mate Pastor was out on mediums, as Williams worked through a back-to-back comparison test. Currently Pastor was thirteenth and Valtteri eighteenth. Many other teams would use a back-to-back comparisons as the final twenty minutes remained. Only Rosberg was in the pits but he would return seeing a very busy track. There was little change in positions as the drivers continued their longer runs. With ten minutes remaining Vettel and Webber were still first and second, with Grosjean the only driver close to the Red Bull times. Both Pastor and Valtteri continued their longer runs with Pastor on the medium and Valtteri the soft.

With under five minutes remaining Valtteri would pit followed by Pastor shortly after as the session came to an end. With the end of the session Pastor was thirteenth and Valtteri eighteenth in what was an uneventful session. Vettel and Webber would remain on the top with Grosjean still third. Alonso and Massa were fourth and fifth with Hamilton sixth followed by Rosberg, Raikkonen, Button, and Sutil tenth. Again the Williams cars continued to struggle finding pace and getting into the top ten is going to be difficult.
