Location: Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, Italy 5.245km

Day three of the Williams F 1teams Mugello and Pastor Maldonado had taken over from Bruno Senna. Pastor's day would see him complete one lap and then return to the pits having an electrical problem with his car. He would pit at around 9:30 and would not return to the track until after 2:30 in the afternoon. His second run would see him complete seven laps with a best time of 1m:25.191. He had only completed thirteen laps. The best time had been set by Vettel with a 1m:21.267, to see Pastor 3.9 seconds off the pace.

His next run would see another seven laps run with times from the 1m:25s through to the 1m:29s. He would pit after having completed a total of twenty three laps. As the day drew to a close Pastor would return to the track and would set his best time so far a 1m:25.158. At this time the quickest time was a 1m:21.035 from Grosjean. Pastor would continue with his run and his next series of laps would see him set times ranging from a 1m:29.895 to a
1m:24.319. He would it just before 4:30PM and return after a ten minute break. His next series of laps would again see a range of times with the quickest been a 1m:24.500. He would pit having completed forty two laps in total.

He would return to the track for a series of runs one consisting of just two laps and the others around six to seven laps. On his last run he would set a 1m:22.497 on his sixty first lap. He would complete sixty three laps in the day. The quickest time would still remain with Grosjean, a 1m:21.035. Pastor would finish the day seventh in the times. Despite been down the order the Williams team was not focusing on out and out speed but collecting data as part of their aero dynamics evaluations.

Mark Gillan, Chief Operations Engineer: We had a disappointing start to this morning's session with an electrical problem that necessitated stripping the car, thus incurring a large loss in track time. The mechanics worked hard to get the car back out on track in the early afternoon. We modified the run plan accordingly and successfully completed a number of aerodynamic and systems tests.

Pastor Maldonado: We lost some time this morning but we had a good afternoon. The track is amazing so it was good to get a few runs completed this afternoon. We gathered a lot of data and I feel positive heading into the next
race.
The Williams F1 Team will be back on track in Barcelona for the Spanish Grand Prix, 11 – 13 May.
