Well done getting photographed with Maldonado! How was he with you? Very good close up photos too. It really isn't easy to do- especially not when they are passing in front of you at 90 degrees.

The photo was taken in the foyer of the hotel that both of us were staying in. My son & I just happened to be walking out of the building and he was standing there talking to someone. When he finished I asked if we could get a photo and he kindly said yes.

It's amazing how the little things mean the world to a fan, as it was only a few seconds out of his day.

Hi Andrew.

What a nice story. Yes, terrible cliche, but little things do mean a lot. When I was younger and played in rock bands, I met some of my guitar heroes at concerts. Well, some were so sniffy and dismissive of fans I never bought their records again )))

The BBC's 5 Live had nice things to say about Pastor too after an interview . . . I'm expecting that guy to become quite an asset.

Good pictures . . . the cars do look great under the lights.

Sorry for you that it was not a classic race, but I'm sure you enjoyed the experience.

The event looked as awe inspiring as ever. How on earth can they be contemplating moving it? I think Bernie should give them a discount to smooth things over.

I always think that the oppressive atmosphere and lighting so close to the track results in an effect on close-up shots that makes it look like the race is being held in a giant indoor kart track.

On the shots where there is no skyline, its spooky!

Ace pictures Andrew! My mate takes photos at all the events we attend with some reasonable photographic kit and has never done any better than that. Well done indeed!

Was good to meet you Andrew at the track. I think next time I'd rather seats in the Turn 2 complex aswell, seemed to be a better viewing experience from that side compared to the Turn 1 seats.

Hope you and the lad enjoy the Bathurst weekend also.

Yes was also great to meet you. I agree about the Turn two seats. Last year we had them at the beginning of the start-finish straight and you do not get to see much of the cars or any action. Turn two you got to see a lot more.

As for Bathurst my son is really looking forward to see the car with his design on it. I can't wait to see it as well. Should be a great weekend.

I will try to put some photos up as soon as I can.
