Singapore GP Friday 1st
Practice
The opening
Friday practice session for the 2010 Singapore Grand Prix would see the
track very damp after an early heavy shower. For the AT&T Williams team they
had brought new floors and front wings to the circuit to cope with the high
down force nature of the circuit. They would also continue to use the F-Duct
system on their cars.
It was announced
that Williams team driver Nico Hulkenberg would collect a gearbox change
penalty in Singapore as a new unit had to be fitted after a
differential problem at Monza.
With the
difficult conditions both Williams drivers would limit their track time and
as a result would finish down the order with Rubens Barrichello in sixteenth
and Nico seventeenth.
