Improvement from Nico

AT&T Williams driver Nico Hulkenberg would improve his time in the second Friday practice session for the 2010 Turkish Grand Prix. He would finish in twelfth. The same could not be said of team-mate Rubens Barrichello who would remain down the order in seventeenth. Nico would suffer a hydraulic leak on his FW32 seeing him stuck in his pit for a great part of the session.

 Turkish GP Friday 2nd Practice

After a troubled first Friday practice the AT&T Williams team would be hoping for an improved second Friday practice session for the 2010 Turkish Grand Prix. Both Williams drivers were somewhat off the pace, struggling with the older front wing that they have been forced to run. For Nico Hulkenberg his second session would have a technical problem with a hydraulic leak on his FW32. The problem would be repaired but it would see not return to the track until well into the last half hour of the session. At the time he was in sixteenth.

BarrichelloNico would improve his time with 1m:29.987 to move up to eleventh as his second run of the afternoon continues. He would finish the session in twelfth without improving on his time. As for team-mate Rubens Barrichello his session would see set an early time of 1m:31.517.

As was the case with most drivers in the later part of the session he would run on the softer tyre setting a time of 1m:30.766 to be fourteenth. By the end of the session he had dropped to a disappointing seventeenth, five places behind Nico and some eight tenths of a second behind Nico.

Despite the improvement from Nico the Williams team again seems to find getting pace from the FW32 a difficult exercise. But having said that Nico's time was a big step forward. Now it comes down to whether Rubens can also show signs of improvement come Saturday's practice.
