For Great Britain it's not published which circuit will they use and Bernie says if Donnington won't be ready in time, Silverstone will be used.
Canada Gp looks to be in doubt still, let's hope they can make it so we'll see a 19races calendar once again
p.s it's a pitty we don't see no USA gp or French one.one of them has a Team and the other a team and driver out there.both claimed tons of ideas for 2010 and nothing happened.

I would like to see France back on the calendar too.
I always enjoyed the Jerez/Estoril back to back races.
Williams and proud of it.

The more races the better from a spectator's point of view- esp if it shaves a week or so away from the off-season.
the australia evening race was a bit hit IMO from my armchair in the uk- the evening light really added to the atmosphere. Glad it's staying at that time.
China and Valencia are the only mediocre tracks on there- all the others are hits IMO.

I really hope Donny crashes and burns. SOS, Save Our Stone.
We really do need a US event, hopefully the wait will soon be over.

I know others may not agree with the following but I think it needs to be said.
I really don't see why Silverstone is more appealing than Donnington.
Having spectated at Silverstone- I really didn't see the charm of the place. Its a flat airfield in the middle of Northamptonshire. Spectators are miles away from the track- so the drama is numbed in comparison to a place like spa, and whilst there is history to the place- you wouldn't know it looking at the place as nothing is the same anymore. The hay-bales were a long time ago.
I dont mean this personally- but the best argument I can see in defence of Silverstone is "breaking habit" - an excuse often used when explaining the distress caused to zoo animals when moving them out of cages.
I know the motivation behind the move is purely for profit- and Im sure many people resent the move on this basis, but I don't think we are losing much here. Neither do I think Donnington has been given it's due. I suspect the fact that the BRDC owns Silverstone and that they are heavily involved in our bbc coverage has not helped present a very balanced argument in favour of a new event which is trying to secure funding during a financial crisis.
Donnington at least has a bit of gradient- and personally- its a lot nearer to my doorstep. If Donnington goes ahead, I will look forward to the variety and will be fascinated to watch the British GP be hosted there.

I really hope for a change about Valencia or Bahrain, they're so boring circuits.

We need a brand new track, but it will never happen in this corrupt, greed driven, country called England.

Getting to Donnington will be a bloody nightmare. Granted it's a nice track, the Group C cars always looked cool running down the hill, but its too far from major public transport links to be taken seriously as a 'green GP'. Everyone and their dog will need to drive to east Midlands airport and shuttle bus in – oh joy. If only the stockbrokers living near Brands would see sense...

That may cause an issue considering I have pledged never to use public transport again.
One year of frustration using busses culminated in a 1 hour journey to travel a mere 10 miles. this meant that I missed the start of the 2005 monaco gp- a race which saw Williams' best result of the 2005 season, and a result which has yet to be beaten since then.
I was displeased to say the least.

Train and cycle I recon – if the powers that be let you and there's a suitable road to the track.

Now let's see, usually we've seen European race in a country which has a champion on the grid.because usually these countries have more interest to fill the seats.
Now UK has Lewis Hamilton, an english man from an english team and hey UK has most fans there too...Add JB to champions' list so why we shouldn't see 2races in UK?!

in your argument re silverstone/donnington you state that that the spectacle is not so good for spectators. what you fail to see is that by far the largest group of spectators are the TV audience and silverstone presents as an ace circuit from a viewer perspective.

This may be an obscure opinion but I can't see anyone overtaking at Donnington... in my view it would be an elongated version of Monaco.

how so?
From a tv perspective, it's a flat empty field which could be anywhere in the world. There are no trees, the run off areas are vast, there are no distinctive features and no obvious overtaking areas- just watch alonso fail to pass Heidfeld's damaged BMW this year for proof.
On balance- Silverstone is a good driver's circuit with fast corners- but that is a hard argument to convey to tv audiences, and it is something which can be put forward in favour of Donnington too.
I think the Silverstone/Donnington debate is unbalanced because people like Damon Hill more than Bernie. I have never liked Silverstone, nor do I think it deserves special "old boy's network" favours which run against free competition. If it was a stellar track, I would want to preserve it- but it isn't.

I just don't get it- there are so many motorways in the area- the m1 goes right past it- why not at worst do a park and ride from the m1 to the track?
I once wanted to travel from Loughborough (a small university town located between Leicester and Nottingham) to Tamworth snowdome via train-but the train was cancelled so we were taken to Derby and we were put on a bus. It took ages- literally hours to travel a scant 30 miles. How do they expect thousands of people to park up at Nottingham/Derby bus station and get a bus in?
Idealism aside- this stinks.

It certainly won't be much fun trying to get there..and can you imagine if any of the trains were cancelled ..OMG a huge protest would take place....!!
@F1R..an excellent idea....:-)
