For AT&T Williams driver Kazuki Nakajima the 2009 season has being a frustrating one where he has yet to score a single point, while team-mate Nico Rosberg is currently sixth in the drivers championship with 30.5 points. Despite some encouraging performances he has struggled in recent races and is now well aware that the time has come for him to start producing some results.

With just four races left in the 2009 season Kazuki has spoken of the need to achieve a points scoring result if he is to improve his chances of driving in 2010.

NakajimaEven though media reports have his place at the Williams team being taken by Williams test driver Nico Hulkenberg for 2010, Kazuki is still keen to remain in Formula One even if it is not with the Williams team. He has been working hard on trying to secure sponsorship for the 2010 season but is also aware that his lack of results is making it hard for him.

His chances of staying with the Williams team suffered a backward step when the Williams team announced that they were going to not use Toyota engines in 2010. With Kazuki part of Toyota's young driver development programme this move by Williams severed the link between the Williams team and Toyota. Despite this Kazuki has indicated that he would like to remain at Williams even if they do change engine supplier.

But Kazuki has to wait and see what changes on the driver front with several drivers, including Nico Rosberg, possibly moving to other teams. But for Kazuki his chances of securing another driver in 2010 can only be helped by some good results in the final races of the 2009 season.

In an interview with autosport.com Kazuki sad: "Nothing has come up yet, but I'm still pushing hard to get something. I need to get better results; I'm sure my performance is better than last year but I haven't had the results, so that's a bit of a problem.

"For the driver market, nobody seems to have decided on anything. If some people make a move, then things will start to happen after that."

As for the chances of him staying with the Williams team in 2010 Kazuki added: "I hope so. It's their decision, though, and the results haven't being going well for me.

"But I'm sure there are still some things I can show them. This team has become like a home for me, I know all the guys, so I would like to stay.

"My performances are certainly better than last year in terms of qualifying and in the races. But also the car's performance has been better than last year. So everything is getting there, just somehow the results haven't come. It's been a bit frustrating sometimes."
