It is a bit of a worry when you look at the weights of the two Brawn cars. Looks like they are running a lot of extra fuel which makes their pace even more impressive.

Makes their diffuser look all the more clever/dodgy if you ask me...

Suppose Brawn may as well enjoy it all while they can next year they will have the burden of designing a car for KERS too

You have to take drivers' weight into account too.

Williams and proud of it.

If thats the case then Kubica is running quite light.

The Brawns will probably run away with it tomorrow, they quite clearly have around a half second advantage over the rest of the field and barring reliability or safety cars they should romp home with a 1-2.

Nicos time wasn't bad but I expected him to be the best of the rest behind the Brawns but considering those from 3rd to around 7th were within two tenths of each other its not a bad effort.

Not liking those Ferraris behind us those, could get jumped at the start by two KERS cars.

I think drivers weight is included as well... Most of the teams are relatively heavy, I guess they are thinking about all those safety cars that usually happen in Australia...

dear steven

first of all wb as you are one of the most respected person in this forum and i really value your insights regarding the f1. however may i point out that rosberg time was going to be 3rd best he blew it off when he went wide in turn 14. he also had a nasty slow first sector. thus nico should have been 3rd today.

As regards brown yes they are the fastest of the pack but tomorrow will be also an endurance race and you need to finish the gp to get the points. i'm no so confident with brawn's reliability... or at least on paper we seem stronger in this area then the brawn

Brawns reliability in testing and throughout this weekend has been on the whole very good. There is nothing to suggest they will retire any more than those around them, if anything the Red Bulls have appeared the more fragile of all the top ten runners.
