 Japanese GP Saturday Practice

Despite Alex Wurz and Nico Rosberg finishing Friday practice in twelfth and thirteenth positions the team were still positive with the their preparations for Saturday's practice and qualifying. But the final practice would be delayed by poor weather and the inability of the emergency helicopter to fly due to the poor visibility. The rain would continue to fall seeing a further delay to the start of
practice. The session would commence and a number of cars would come out for just thirty minutes rather than the usual hour.

Both Alex and Nico would come out and it would be Alex who would set the first lap time, 1m:32.746. Nico would go second, 1m:34.758. Trulli was in third. The only cars not to leave the pit lane was Raikkonen.

But just as quickly the session would be red flagged due to the poor visibility. Everyone was now back in the pits. The session would finally be abandoned with there been no hope of the weather improving. The big question now is whether the conditions would improve to allow qualifying to go ahead.
