 Italian GP Qualifying

With Nico Rosberg finishing the final practice in sixth and Alex Wurz in seventh things were looking encouraging for the AT&T Williams team for qualifying for the 2007 Italian Grand Prix.

Nico RosbergBut it would again turn out to be a repeat of previous races with Nico progressing into the final period and Alex failing to make the cut in Q2. Q1 would see Nico finish in seventh position but Alex was way down the order in sixteenth.

Q2 did not fare any better for Alex with the Austrian finishing in a disappointing thirteenth after making a mistake that would see him lock his tyres and lose valuable time. Nico would finish in seventh and make it through into Q3, where he would finish in eighth.

Not the result the Williams team was hoping for with Alex down in thirteenth but Nico was positive about his performance feeling that he is in a position to score a good result. Despite his low grid position Alex is still hopeful that startegy will allow hi to score some points in the race.
