With Nico Rosberg and Alex Wurz finishing 1oth and 11th the 2007 Bahrain GP would be a difficult race for AT&T Williams team. Both drivers would spend the whole race stuck in the mid field failing to make any real progress forward. It would be another race with no points for the team.

Bahrain GP Race Review

With Massa on pole position and the Williams cars of Nico Rosberg and Alex Wurz on tenth and eleventh the field would line up for the start of the fifty seven lap 2007 Bahrain Grand Prix. Both Nico and Alex would be looking to move up the order was the race progressed. Most of the front runners were on the softer tyre. With the lights going out the field would get away and into Turn one we would have Massa leading from Hamilton, Raikkonen, and Alonso. Hamilton did not make the best of starts and was lucky to keep Alonso and Raikkonen behind him.

At the rear of the field Button and Speed would make contact putting both out of the race. Sutil would pit his Spyker with damage to the front. He would stay in the pits for sometime before he was able to return to the race. The safety car would be deployed and it would take until lap four before the race was underway again.

RosbergWith the restart Hamilton would look to pass Massa at Turn one but was not close enough. Alonso was now in third followed by Raikkonen. Alex was down in eleventh and Nico twelfth. Lap six and the front four were running close together. Raikkonen had set the fastest lap on lap four, 1m:35.309. Alex was looking to pass tenth placed Trulli. Alonso was now under pressure from Raikkonen. Lap nine would see Hamilton set the fastest lap, 1m:35.137. Trulli, Alex, and Nico were running close together. Liuzzi would pit on lap ten. Massa and Hamilton were trading fastest laps. Lap ten would see Hamilton again fastest, 1m:34.809. Coulthard would try to pass Alex at Turn one but failed to make it. Lap twenty three and Alonso would pit for another set of soft tyres. The following lap and Raikkonen would pit. He was joined by Heidfeld. His stop was quick and would see him come out in front of Alonso. Lap twenty four and Kubica would pit from fourth. Massa was now able to extend his lead from Hamilton, 7.0 seconds after lap twenty seven.

Alonso now had Heidfeld right behind him as he feel away from Raikkonen. Nico would run wide again as he tried to find away past eleventh placed Trulli.
