With mark Webber and Nico Rosberg finishing in 14th and 15th the WilliamsF1 team struggled in the final Turkish Grand Prix practice session. Mark would spend a large part of the session in his pit only coming out in the final moments to set a time that would see him move up to 14th.

Turkish GP Saturday Practice

With Mark Webber and Nico Rosberg finishing Friday practice in twenty first and twenty third positions the WilliamsF1 team would have the final Saturday practice in which to finalise their setup. On another hot and sunny day the final practice session would get underway with Albers and Sato taking to the track. Albers would be looking at an grid penalty due to an engine change.
Both Albers and Sato would pit after their installation lap. MF1 team-mate Monteiro was the next driver out on the track. He would also pit after an installation lap.

RosbergWith ten minutes of the session run only three drivers had come out but they were joined by Torro Rosso's Liuzzi. Sato would return after a short break in his pit. Liuzzi would set the first time of the session with a 1m:34.759. Sato's first lap would see him go fastest with a 1m:33.964. Trulli was out on the track. He would be joined by the first of the WilliamsF1 drivers Nico Rosberg. Ralf Schumacher would join his team-mate out on the track. Raikkonen would be the first of the McLaren's to leave the pit lane.

Both Sato and Liuzzi would improve their times, Sato with a 1m:32.467 and Liuzzi a 1m:34.026. Kubica, de la Rosa, and Heidfeld were the next drivers to take part in the session. Ralf would go fastest with a 1m:31.468 and Nico's first lap would see him in third, 1m:33.838. Fisichella and Klien were next to be seen joining in the action. Kimi would move to the top of the times with a
1m:31.163 but Ralf would move ahead of the McLaren driver with a 1m:30.746. We now had Alonso, Yamamoto, and Michael Schumacher leaving the pit lane.

Kimi was again fastest with a 1m:30.179 while Heidfeld moved into third, 1m:31.874. Nico's next lap would see him move ahead of Nick with a time of 1m:31.743. Barrichello and Button were both on the track. Nico's third did not last for long as de la Rosa, Klien, Sato, and Albers moved ahead of him. Michael's first quick lap would see him fastest with a 1m:29.078. Klien would
improve to be third, 1m:30.432.

Nico was now down in twelfth. Heidfeld would move ahead of Klien to again be in third. Michael would improve his time with a 1m:28.318. Fisichella was in sixth and team-mate Alonso twelfth. Nico was now fourteenth. Button was in eighth. Mark had yet to come out of his pit as Nico returned to his. Klien was now in second, 1m:29.988. Massa would move into second, 1m:28.907. Michael would pit. Alonso was now in seventh, 1m:30.550. With half the session complete there
were only a handful of drivers out on the track.

Scott Speed was now in fourth, 1m:30.056. So Michael lead from Massa, Klien, Speed, Raikkonen, Heidfeld, Fisichella, Alonso, Button and Ralf making up the top ten. Nico was down in seventeenth and Mark had still yet to come out. But he would finally leave his pit. Coulthard would move into third with a 1m:29.517, on his first lap. Button was now in sixth. Mark's first lap was a 1m:32.685 and slowest. Ralf would move into fourth with a 1m:29.803. Nico was now in nineteenth. Mark would improve his time with a 1m:32.160 but was still slowest. Mark would improve again but it would still see him down the order in twentieth. Nico was now twenty first.

Team PersonnelRaikkonen had come back out and would set a time that would see him in second, 1m:28.368. With twenty minutes remaining Michael lead from Raikkonen, Massa, Klien, Coulthard, Ralf, Speed, Button, Kubica, and Heidfeld. Mark was now in sixteenth with a 1m:30.727. This was 2.4 seconds slower than Michael's time. Mark would pit as Alonso put in a very quick lap to go fastest with a 1m:27.924. Alonso was on new tyres for this run. Kimi would pit. Klien would have a moment at Turn eight. Michael would attack Fernando's time and would go fastest with a 1m:27.591. With fifteen minutes remaining Mark and Nico were down in seventeenth and twenty first. Nico would come back out. His current time was a massive 4.1 seconds slower than Michael.

Fisichella would improve to be in sixth. Nico was now slowest with Yamamoto setting a time faster than the young German. Most drivers had returned to their pits to make their preparations for their practice qualifying runs. Nico's next lap would see him improve to now be in seventh, 1m:29.176. But was this a practice qualifying run? With ten minutes remaining the order was Michael from Alonso, Raikkonen, Massa, Klien, Button, Fisichella, Rosberg, Coulthard, and Liuzzi.
Mark was in twenty first.

Massa was back out as Nico continued to circulate around the track. Massa would improve to now be in third. Raikkonen was back out as Mark continued to stay in his pit. Fisichella was now in third, 1m:27.963. Nico had pitted with just five minutes remaining. Now there was the rush of drivers as they came out for their final runs. Mark was to leave the pit lane as Heidfeld moved into fourth, 1m:28.151. Barrichello would move into sixth as Mark dropped to the bottom of the times. Button would improve to be in sixth, 1m:28.190. Mark's first lap would see him set a time of 1m:29.069 to be only in fourteenth. Nico was in fifteenth.

Michael would lower his quickest time with a1m:27.203 to now be 0.721 seconds ahead of Alonso. Kubica would move into fourth, 1m:27.964. With the end of the session Michael still was at the top of the times from Alonso, Fisichella, Kubica, Heidfeld, Button, Massa, Barrichello, Raikkonen, and Klien. This session did little to show that the FW28 has the pace to get a good result and qualifying is looking to be another difficult time for both Mark and Nico.
