OrangeArrows entered day three of the major test at Barcelona with Heinz-Harald Frentzen at the wheel. The teams present today had to contend with clear skies and soaring temperatures that saw lap times drop by five seconds during the afternoon.
Despite the team posting a press release about Frentzen’s presence at the Spanish circuit today, there is still no detail as to what the team are concentrating on this week. Endurance was probably on the list though, as Frentzen completed well over a race distance today and posted the fourth fastest time out of the nine drivers present.
Interestingly the new Jaguar R3b made it’s first appearance today, with the team aiming to use the new car in anger for the first time at the British Grand Prix. Eddie Irvine posted the slowest time of the day.
Frentzen continues tomorrow on the final day of testing for the Arrows team.
