Well after all the news regarding the Williams family leaving the team its time for the start of the Italian GP weekend. I hope that the team can have a positive weekend as they say goodbye to Claire and Frank.

This is a very difficult gp. One the car is draggy and this is not good circuilt, and the family leaving the team, once and for all. Sad news!

After FP1, Roy was 18 and Latifi 20, 2.1 and 2.4 seconds respectively.

Pretty typical FP1 from Williams. Hopefully we will get a better indication of their pace come FP2.

That was better than expected.Roy set that lap on Hard tyres.Latifi aborted his best lap after a mistake at second chicane.
In hands of George, we should be back fighting with or infront of Haas and Alfa.

It will be interesting if we move forwards in the next few races. If we do you have to think that people were coasting behind the relative safety of the family. Interesting dynamics now.

That laptime of Roy in Fp1 with hard tyres gave me hope for a good weekend but it looks the other way.

Btw, isn't it only Williams with such a medium downforce rear wing?

I can see him getting fired / quitting before the end of the season.

Williams look like they are running so damn much rear wing compared to Mercedes and Red Bull.

If only Bernie was still in charge he would have given the team some magic tyres like when Frank was 70 and allowed a clown like Maldo to win the race and then blow up the garage afterwards to destroy the evidence. Those were the days.

LOOK at Sainz up in P3 in the McLaren,... Sainz has equal status at McLaren and the McLaren is a quick machine,...For the life of me I can't understand why Sainz would have chose to go to Ferrari as a number 2 driver,...I don't get it,...Weird stuff.

I think Ricciardo owes Sainz a beer for freeing up the McLaren race seat.

Ricciardo owes Sainz big time for giving him the McLaren race seat.

Possibly.

At 31, he can't afford to be patient.

Hulk was washed up at 32. Heidfeld only 34 when he retired.

I think Ricciardo has still got a good 5 years left in him yet, he seems to be showing up the 23 year old Esteban Ocon this year.

Ocon is a good driver and he is only 23 and Ricciardo seems to be handling Ocon easily this year.
