Well another race or in other words another test session for Williams. I hope that what ever is causing Kubica's lack of pace can be addressed and that Russell continues to show those small steps forward.

Could be interesting race. Yet another Merc 1 - 2 would be something again for the record books, but hard to see it not happening.

A chance for a few people to have a good race today. Kvyat needs some points for credibility. Grosjean desperately needs a point at least. Sainz needs better luck. And all three qualified well. Since Alfa and Force Stroll don't appear to be performing here they all have a great chance.

Meanwhile, Gasly should watch out for the impressive Albon.

I do not have the facility to watch the gp, maybe will see the highlights later on. As i posted in another post Russell said no updates just test items. However he is hooeful he can challenge some cars in the opening laps

What happened to George

Stroll is crazy on lap 1. Already on the back of Perez.

Hulk did both Williams from the pitlane.

Williams race pace fairly poor. Don't have live timing . . . over a second I think.

Is Robert holding up George??

yea lap pace at least 1.5 maybe 2 off the back of the pack

update 2.5 to 3 seconds off the midfield

4 second off the front

How probable is it that we can bring 2 seconds to this heap just to get on to the back of the pack let alone 4 seconds to the front.

I think it is a no brainer to switch to next years car.

Sure . . . race pace is hopeless. You can't develop out a defecit like that.

Great race for Kvyat . . . is it the comeback kid???

Kubica is now 18 sec behind Russell, did he pit twice already?

It would not surprise me if Robert and Williams came to a amicable agreement at the summer break and Williams let him stand down and then did another deal with the rich kids Father.

If that is possible.

i am sure Patrick will know what needs to be done.

It will not save this car/season but it may give us a head start with extra money for next year.

1.2sec in Qualifying and 0.5sec in race conditions as the last 14laps offered a clear head to head comparison.
Very much telling about our drivers' performance.

But in clear air, George was doing laptimes near to Gio...though Sauber was experiencing a terrible weekend.

And who is going to give PKN their 23m back?

It's irrelevant at the moment who pays to come last.

Looks like another yawn fest. Maybe I should take break from F1 (already not seen any live races in over a year - just highlights)
