The teams have to give two days of in season testing to a driver who hasn't taken part in more than 2 gps. George just makes it and Ocon of course doesn't fill that criteria.

As far a Williams. Just running aero testes with sensors attached to the car. Still well off the pace but that is not surprising.

Just reading times with Schumacher on them is kind of incredible. I'm getting old.

Must be pretty weird for Russell to drive the slowest and fastest F1-car in only two days time.

Any insights as to how it went?

Yeah, but he didn't do that.

Ferrari was the fastest car around Bahrain. (Sm71)

Can see Russell driving for Mercedes full time sooner rather than later. Wonder where that leaves Ocon.

Russel was so fast in that Mercedes against a driver who set a similar time in a car that ranks in the lower midfield.

Wonder what the other driver could do in a Mercedes? Though if Claire plays her cards right this time she could earn a reasonable return on Williams investment.

When Russell is driving the Mercedes F1 car he must be thinking what a donkey the FW42 is compared to the Merc.
