United States GP: Williams Racing Grand Prix Preview
By Williams Racing
October 18 2023
After the difficulties of the Qatar weekend the Williams Racing Team now moves to the city of Austin and the Circuit of the Americas. For the team it will again be another Sprint weekend presenting the challenges of setting up the car in one practice session. But the team has the advantage that both Alex Albon and Logan Sargeant have driven the circuit back in 2022. Both Alex and Logan are excited to be running at CoTA but for Logan it is another race running before his home crowd. For the team the continued aim is to maintain their position in the championship but the competition is becoming more intense.

Haas have a major update this weekend, so will be interesting to see how that does and whether Alfa form last race was a step forward or a blip.

It would be nice if we can do well but not really too worried provided next year we get a step forwards. (I am sure I have posted that exact thing before on several occasions on several years 😂)

It's funny, even in late 2022, we'd finished last, we had no team principal, no technical director and the most pessimistic forecast from both albon and from internal rumours: I've never felt so unenthusiastic about a new year.
Thanks to this, I've never enjoyed a season consistently, this much, in a long time. Maybe 9 years. Possibly more. Every weekend williams are thereabouts fighting for points and beating rivals unexpectedly. It feels like such a treat. Almost always, the fantasy dreams of winter turn into a nightmare reality followed by a long, tedious depressing acceptance of reality. For once, I'm happy just watching williams at the races.
