Spanish GP: Friday sees Williams Racing searching for pace
By Williams Racing
June 3 2023
Friday practice for tyhe 2023 Spanish GP would see the Williams Racing Team finish the day with both drivers slowest in the times over the two Friday sessions. FP2 would see Alex Albon 19th and Logan Sargeant 20th. Was without doubt a difficult day for the team as they coped with the limitations of the FW45. Can the team find that extra pace on Saturday or is their current performance what they are stuck with, FP3 will give us the answers to this. But overall even if they find that extra pace it is still going to be a tough weekend for Williams.

Dave Robson, Head of Vehicle Performance:
We completed some setup
tests in FP1 and got some useful direction. We reverted to a more normal
Barcelona setup for FP2, which the drivers preferred. We took the
opportunity to look at the new tyre construction, which we will race
from the British GP onwards. |
