2002 consistently throws up reasons to see it as a year of grace for Scuderia Ferrari, with wins on the football pitch adding to those on the race track. With two world championships won very early in the year, thirteen wins from fifteen races and all sorts of records set, the Prancing Horse team continues its winning ways even with a ball at its feet.

Yesterday evening, at the Park Tudor High School in Indianapolis, Ferrari came out on top of a four-way tournament against teams from Williams, McLaren and BAR playing 30 minute matches. In the semi-finals, Ferrari beat McLaren one-nil after a penalty was given for a foul on Andrea Stella, converted by Massimo Ronchetti. The same score in the second game against Williams, who had beaten BAR. The final also saw just the one goal, scored by Stella. Ferrari’s best player, Michael Schumacher, did not take part in the tournament, as the world champion only arrived in Indianapolis today.
