Taku Takes 4th For Jordan in Warm Up

Takuma Sato streaks around Silverstone to take the 4th fastest warm up time. Giancarlo who has struggled all weekend placed 12th fastest in this mornings session for the British Grand Prix.

The teams setup seems well suited to the current conditions at Silverstone, That coupled with Takuma's knowledge of the Northamptonshire circuit enabled him to set the time.

In an attempt to explain the performance of the team during yesterday's qualifying session and the differences between then and today, Eddie Jordan said that tyre compound had a lot to do with the relative performance. Jordan have gone with the harder compount of tyre. The softer tyre will give a higher level of grip but will go off quickly during the race. The harder tyre will not provide as much grip but will last longer during the race. So it's a trade off between the speed and the reliability.

We'll hope that Takuma get's one of his now legendary starts but that he can also keep it together and not end up off at the first corner dragging Giancarlo behind him.
