Jordan loses rear wing in practice

Ralph Firman has been taken to Hospital for checks after his EJ13 lost it's rear wing in this mornings practice session for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

The Jordan number two was traveling into the Hungaroring's fifth corner at an estimated 125mph when the rear wing became detached and the car skipped across the gravel trap, slamming side on into the armco barrier.  Ralph was able to climb out of the car after the incident but looked dazed.  He was taken to the medical centre and has been airlifted to the Orszagos Traumatologiai Intezet at Sebeszeti Osztaly, near Budapest for tests.

We hear that Ralph has suffered some bruising to his leg but is otherwise unhurt.  In a crash that looked harder that Jenson Buttons accident in Monaco, it's testament to the strength of the Jordan's construction that Ralph was able to get away so lightly.
