Alonso mania gripped the third day of testing in Valencia today. BBC reported, more than 30,000 fans thronged the Valencia ciruict today to get a glimpse of their favourite star, steering the Ferrari F10 challenger. The official figures puts it to more than 50,000 for the three days.
Streets leading to the circuit were jammed in the morning, up to four kilometers, when fans made beeline to enter the circuit, as put up on ferrari's site.
To the delight of the fans, Fernando didn't disappoint too, setting up pace from the word go. The lap timings tumbled seven times in his first eight laps.
Fernando was impressed by the handling of the car, but stopped making any conclusion, as he felt its too early to predict anything.
The Spaniard finished on top with the fastest lap timing for the first three days, recorded at 1.11.470, with a total of 127 laps. Pedro De La Rosa of Sauber and Michael Schumacher finished second and third fastest for the day, respectively.
Ferrari has put in a strong performance on all the three days, with Felipe coming on top the first two days, and Alonso following the suit on the third day. This have surely boosted the confidence of drivers and the team engineers of Ferrari.
Testing resumes at the Jerez circuit, on February 10, for four days.
