Leafield factory for sale

Administrators are currently looking for buyers for Super Aguri. All the team's installations and personnel are now for sale to anyone who's interested in starting a brand-new motorsport team. They claim to have received several expressions of interest already.
Super Aguri used a factory at Leafield that used to belong to the old Arrows team. Super Aguri employed over 90 people at that location.
Joint administrator Philip Long had this to say:
"This Administration provides a unique opportunity to get into
high-level motorsport without having to build an operation from
scratch. In terms of capability a new team could easily be up and
running for the 2009 Formula One season.
Virtually everything
is in place including the people, the technical expertise, the
laboratories and testing facilities. A new team could walk in and take
over a fully operational unit from day one. There are a number of other
motorsport projects being undertaken which should interest the motor
racing world.”
So something new might still come from Super Aguri's ashes.

If I had a some $40million the team would be mine!! and that a little under the book value!

maybe other forms of motorsport would like a spare factory but a team looking to enter f1 would have to have the financial backing or it will be aguri all over again
I think what's for sale is just the base to start a team, without building all the facilities from scratch. Anyone wanting to get involved will have to hire more personnel and do a few investments here and there. The few companies interested in getting into F1 have a golden opportunity here, even better than when Suzuki bought the factory many years after Arrows left it.
And as Mr. Long said in terms of F1, it's to buy now and get a team ready for 2009.
