Super Aguri's Audetto vocal about friday practice

Managing director Daniele Audetto, voices his opinion on the new driver rules drawn up for friday practice. He believes that although only two cars may be used, third drivers must be run, eitherwise F1 may be denying F1 hopefuls their chance. Audetto also believes the team can fight for better things, may be even a win.

Daniele Audetto would be bringing this up as an issue, "We are looking to the next Formula One commission meeting to ask the other teams to make it compulsory to have a test driver on Friday. Otherwise, with only two cars available, I will not give an advantage by running a test driver to other teams that will be using their regular drivers."

Under the new rules, friday practice will be extended to 90 minutes, but no team is allowed a third car. To let a third driver pilot a car is to take away set up time from the race driver, hence it would not be a popular option to run a third driver with only two cars available. "So either everybody uses a third driver on Friday and that must be compulsory -- that one of the regular drivers must not drive at least for one session of 90 minutes -- or I think very few teams will give a chance to a test driver on Friday. We have to wait and see if a test driver is important or not next year."

On talking about his team prospects, Daniele Audetto used fighting talk, "We want to show the world we're not losers. Now that we have the base of the team, mechanics and engineers, we really want to prove we can fight for a better position." continuing, he has high hopes of Super Aguri's performance, "maybe in 2008 we can be potential winners of a Grand Prix,"
