Super Aguri talks promotions

As the team near the end of their first season in F1, positions within the team begin to solidify with key members being promoted. Hopefully the promotions and stability within the team will help them move forward.

One of the biggest changes is Mark Preston who will become the team's Technical Director. He will be manager of design/ reseach / Development in Super Aguri's leafield factory. In addition to this he will also be attending the races and tests.

Other new promotions in the R&D department include Gerry Hughes who becomes the head of R&D. Stephen Watt is the team's new head of electronics and Ben wood has been promoted to head of aerodynamics.

Another person being promoted is Graham Taylor, his new position being Super Aguri's sporting director, previously he was the team's chief race engineer.

Newly turned Technical director Preston says, ''I am glad that Aguri has been able to bring stability to the team and cement our future direction. " He also states the growing strength and improvement of the team, "We have come from approximately 7% off the pace at our first Grand Prix in Bahrain and are now within 3% of the front runners at recent races, a huge effort in anyone’s books! These internal promotions reflect the commitment to further strengthening the team’s future."
