We were bouncing yesterday ! What we wanted and what the fans wanted had seemingly come true. MF1O scoured the news looking for confirmation this morning, but nothing was to be found.

Regardless of this we're still bouncing - albeit perhaps a little less vigorously as it has been pointed out to us that the published entry list is by no means 'set in stone'. Looks like we're going to have to adopt the 'wait for the team to confirm' stance all over again...

Despite asking, our sources at Midland have also been unable to get the magic words from those in the know. Fans on the forum here at MF1O have been pondering why and one suggestion has been that the team did not want to put off potential sponsors for people paying for test drives by announcing the second driver (perhaps a commercial conflict of interest between interested test drive candidates and Tiago's backers ?).

Some fans, perhaps with the memory of 2005 still fresh in their minds, have taken this as a lack of respect by Midland to it's team/driver fan base. Less passionately driven minds have suggested that the team are under no obligation to confirm anything to anybody, and if the above is true then it's actually a sound financial and marketing decision by the team. Remember that Midland have already stated that they're in F1 to make money !

We're still bouncing, and waiting for the team to confirm their No.2 driver :o(
