All Quiet Again

Once again there have been a couple of weeks where we haven't heard much about Force India. This is why there has been no news in the "News" section. Subject to major disaster, I suspect we won't be overloaded with news in February either. It's stayed out of the arguments about rule changes and nothing more has been said about Mallya's possible bid for Honda. Hopefully the low-key approach works.

In fact, the most newsworthy thing that appears to have happened to Force India is that it's set up a presence on Twitter. An interesting development, but not one that will significantly affect its performance.

There is some new stuff to read that has come out recently - Force India have put an item about their fabrication shop on their website and F1 Racing has an article about the Force India model shop in Brackley in its February 2009 issue.

Well... ...the requirements of the site mean I have to put a news item up at least every fortnight or the forum shuts (and it's not easy to get it re-opened). Had I been able to wait another day, I could have written about Mike Gascoyne starting a court case, which could have a significant influence over our understanding of why he left (as well as provide some distractions for Force India's legal team). OK, it would have been a short item because there's not much information as yet, but it would have been a truly newsworthy item.

As it was, all there was to go on was the fact that Force India are the first F1 team to set up an official Twitter presence. I will admit, though, that I had to stretch the definition of "news" somewhat to accommodate it, so I can sympathise with you to a certain extent.
