Bahrain GP: Saturday Factbox

The BMW Sauber F1 Team enjoyed a successful qualifying session at the "Bahrain International Circuit". Following promising practice results, Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica secured fifth and sixth positions respectively.

- Standing order for top-ten grid positions: For the third consecutive race, both BMW Sauber F1 Team drivers succeeded in qualifying for the top ten, with neither Nick nor Robert experiencing any problems on their way to the final phase of the session. In Melbourne, the pairing achieved its best knockout-phase result in the season so far, with Robert finishing third in phase one and Nick claiming runner-up position in the second phase. Today, Nick and Robert qualified for the top-ten shoot-out by finishing fourth and sixth respectively in phase two.

- Competitive showing: By clinching third and fourth positions in the third free practice session, Nick and Robert achieved the BMW Sauber F1 Team's best practice result of the 2007 season to date. In addition, the pairing could be happy with the total mileage covered over the course of the weekend's three practice sessions: In total, Nick and Robert completed 155 laps, representing a mileage of 838.86 kilometres.

- BMW Sauber F1 Team in the spotlight: Obviously, the Sauber F1 Team's constantly competitive performances have been realised by rival drivers. McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton echoed the opinion of many drivers when he said: "BMW is extremely quick. We definitely must keep an eye on them as they have a lot of potential."
