BMW Sauber F1 to race in the snow!

It has been reported by F1Racing.net that the BMW Sauber F1 Team has asked tyre supplier Bridgestone to build special tyres for snow conditions. And no, it's not for a F1 race! Those tyres will be used in a PR event for one of the team's main sponsors: Credit Suisse.

The event will take place in a froen lake in Saint Moritz, Switzerland, celebrating 100 years of international horse racing there.

The special tyres won't actually be very different from the normal ones, with the exception of supporting studs!

Over 400 studs, made of tungsten and aluminium, will be placed on each tyre, in order to give enough grip in extreme conditions of less than -10º Celsius.
