In the forthcoming season, Nick Heidfeld and Robert Kubica will enter the battle for world championship points for the BMW Sauber F1 Team. Additionally, 19-year-old Sebastian Vettel has been confirmed as the official test and reserve driver.

BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen is satisfied with this driver line-up.

"We have three drivers capable of winning races," he says. "Two of them certainly at present, the third definitely in a few years. I believe when you're setting up a new team this is the right thing to do."

In the maiden season of the BMW Sauber F1 Team, all three drivers were already able to demonstrate their great talent and driving skills. While Nick and Robert celebrated thrilling podium finishes in Hungary and Italy, the 2004 Formula BMW Germany Champion, Sebastian Vettel, received his first chance as the new Friday driver at the Turkish Grand Prix - and used it. In each session, he impressed the engineers with useful feedback. Additionally, his speed on the track was outstanding.

In other words, the BMW Sauber F1 Team looks well-prepared for the 2007 Formula One World Championship. The mixture of experience (Nick) and young talent (Robert and Sebastian) should allow the team to leave a lasting impression next year.
