First day at Jerez's last test before season's end

A total of nine drivers took to the track at Jerez today to start preparations for the Formula One season final in Brazil. Robert lapped the track 121 times, setting a personal best time of 1:17.569 minutes.

With temperatures reaching up to 30 degrees Celsius, the 21 year old accumulated a total of 535 kilometres.

Robert Kubica:   Chassis / engine: BMW Sauber F1.06-06 / BMW P86 V8/BMW Sauber F1.07/ BMW P86 V8

Programme: Robert had a busy day in Jerez jumping between the two cars - Chassis 06 and 07. He set his fastest time in the morning in 07 and the programme for this car was mainly to test small detail parts for next year. The work on 06 included different tyres and transmission development. On top of these programmes the team also completed some set-up and aero work.

What comes next: Tomorrow Robert will be the only driver again and will use both chassis to do some work for the next Grand Prix in Brazil.
