Strong day 2 for Renault

Renault F1 completed their second day of testing in Barcelona. The day went very well for the world champions as Giancarlo Fisichella managed second and world drivers champion Fernando Alonso right behind him in 3rd position on the time sheets

A very strong day of pre season testing, both Renaults race drivers were in action again on Renaults second day of testing. Giancarlo Fisichella was the quickest of the Renault drivers and placed his Renault on second position on the time sheets with a quick 1,13.971. Fernando Alonso was right behing his italian team mate with and equally impressive 1,13.977.

Renault managed to do an impressive 1,101.2 km of milage today which is a grand total of 238 laps around the circuit de catalunya! Fisi completed a total of 125 laps and Fernando comleted the remaining 113. Race simulations were carried out by the renault team as well as other various tests.

Jenson Button topped the time sheets in his Honda setting a very quick time of 1,13.935 just quicker than Giancarlo.

Testing will continue further tomorow at the circuit
