Alonso Requires 4 Points

Mild Seven Renault F1 driver goes into the Belgium Grand Prix requiring 4 points to become the new wold drivers champion. Alonso need to gain another four points on Mclaren driver Kimi Raikkonen to claim the crown from Michael Schumacher

Renault's Spanish driver Fernando Alonso is closing in on his first world championship crown, which would make him the youngest world champion in the history of the sport, in which he is already the youngest ever race winner.

The Spaniard has drove incredibly this year showing his raw speed an experienced head on young shoulders. He has won six races this season, Malaysia, Bahrain, San Marino, Europe, France and Germany most of which came in the early part of the season but throughout the Spaniard has scored highly obtaining numerous podiums along the way.

Now Alonso only has to gain four points on title rival Kimi Raikkonen to claim the prestigious drivers title and become the first champion post Michael Schumacher.

Although to beat the "ice man" is going to be a tough test in Belgium as the Mclaren is much quicker in the later stages of this season and sometimes over a second a lap quicker than the Renault, but the pace of the young Spaniard, the reliability of the two cars and the unpredictable weather conditions of the area could all help Alonso make his dream come true.
