The Renault F1 team has concluded their tests at Jerez in preparation of the Brazilian Grand Prix. The team has been testing since last Tuesday and has used Franck Montagny, Heiki Kovalainen, Jacques Villeneuve and Fernando Alonso as testers.

Quite surprisingly though Jacquers Villeneuve, a driver that is in desperate need of extra time on the car, has only tested on Wednesday and has not concluded his tests with the Anglo French squad today.

This may add to the speculation that Villeneuve may be replaced by Montagny on the last race of the season once the 2nd place on the Constructor’s Championship is almost out of reach for the team.

After a struggling performance at the Japanese Grand Prix an exhausted Jacques Villeneuve said that he was suffering of lack of shape and lack of integration with the car. However, he was looking forward to some heavy testing this week though he has only completed 60 laps versus the 279 laps completed by Montagny in the three days of testing.
