All Formula 1 teams present at Valencia observed a five minute silence in honour of the terrorist victims of yesterday's attack in Madrid. The teams continued their testing sessions today at Valencia by artificially setting the track wet.
Franck Montagny completed 113 laps to set a best time of 1.27.203 just 2 seconds shy of the best time set by Pizzonia of Williams BMW.
"We completed the week's programme with a planned wet test," explained Chief Test Engineer Christian Silk. "It was an encouraging day working on the wet tyres, and one compound in particular holds real promise. Overall, the tyres performed well in terms of both consistency and speed, and we did plenty of laps to round off a productive session."
