Renault tests R24 parts at Jerez

The Renault F1 Team started the 2004 testing at Jerez yesterday with both Franck Montagny and Jarno Trulli at the wheel of two R23 though with several parts of the R24.
Franck Montagny completed 95 laps (420 kms) with the R23-05 concentrating on suspension settings for the R24. He set a best time of 1.18.427.
Jarno Trulli was the busiest driver on the track as he drove 99 laps (438 kms.) with the R23-06 to set a best time of 1.18.098. Trulli's job was to concentrate on the R24 brake system.
For Thursday the team will be concentrating on tyre testing.
