Alonso: "Fisi deserves the win"

Alonso is clear that he has been lucky so far in the races and that is the reason for his good position at the World Driver Championship.

"The races have been quite strange and I have benefited from it" Alonso declared "My position in the championship table is unreal. It will go down eventually"

Alonso is clear that he is not driving at the present time for one of the big three teams and that Renault is making great effort to finish 3rd at the end of the year. That would place Alonso on 5th or 6th at the end of the season at best and always as long as Williams, who finished 2nd last year on the Constructor Championship, do not improve their car.

He was grateful for the praise given by five-time World Champion Michael Schumacher: "I feel pride when he talks well of me, but I should not take them under consideration since we live on results and right now there is too much euphoria".

He was quite glad of the decision of the FIA to revert the winning position to Giancarlo Fisichella: "I am quite happy for him, he is a good friend and he deserves this win".

Brazil is gone from his memory now though he declares that the HANS was quite good at saving him a serious injure. He is looking forward to Barcelona and to race in front of his fans.
