Massa deflated

Sauber Petronas' Felipe Massa must start the Canadian Grand Prix from the back of the grid after failing to set a time in final qualifying.

The Brazilian went out on to the track but returned to the pits before starting his flying lap. A rear puncture was the reason given for his early return.

Team mate Giancarlo Fisichella fared a little better, just missing out on a top 10 grid slot. The Italian lines up 11th after setting a time of 1:14.674, nearly 2.4 seconds off the pace of pole-sitter Ralf Schumacher.
