British Supermoto organisers have confirmed that the 2005 championship will receive television coverage on terrestrial and cable networks in 40 countries.

The Greenlight Television package will see Supermoto broadcast to an estimated 500 million homes around the globe. The hour long highlights package will be seen in the UK on the Motorsport Mundial and Max Power programmes, with dates and schedules expected shortly.

Greenlight brings a wealth of experience and talent in motorsport television production to the British Supermoto Championship. Producing five programmes a week, every week of the year, Greenlight is the production company of choice for a dozen major championships and events around the world.

In addition, the official British Supermoto website www.britishsupermoto.com will be up and running before the first round of the series, at Lydd International, as part of a comprehensive media programme being put in place. This comes on the back of yesterday’s announcement that Lincolnshire based potato concern Vivaldi is to be the 2005 title sponsor.

Stuart Williams, who is managing the various media and commercial activities for the championship, said that everything was now starting to gather momentum.
“Its fantastic news that Vivaldi have come on board as title sponsor. They are totally committed to Supermoto, and we will be working closely with them to promote the sport. We now have the television sorted through Greenlight, and will be announcing when and where it can be seen in this country shortly. With a strong entry list taking shape, and a number of other things we are working on coming together, it is all looking good for the 2005 season.”
