Yet again Toyota found themselves at the bottom half of the table, with Ralf Schumacher outpacing teammate Jarno Trulli. Up front it was the same as usual, with Fernando Alonso’s Renault R26 doing the business to remain fastest, Jenson Button was once again second.
Unlike yesterday where Alonso and Button were 0.01 seconds apart, the gap had grown to an enormous 0.03 seconds by the end of the fourth day. Surely Renault and Honda were marking themselves out as the teams to beat.
Ferrari was once again third, this time with Felipe Massa. Whilst Anthony Davidson and Michael Schumacher finished fourth and fifth respectively with Klein’s Red Bull Racing showing some promising pace in sixth place.
Way behind the leaders were the Toyota’s of Ralf Schumacher and Jarno Trulli, who had to contend with Williams’ and McLaren’s at the bottom half of the table.
